This book discusses the subject of paper currency, and includes five main chapters following a chronological order.
The first chapter discusses the topic when the circulated currency wasn’t money, but rather different kinds and forms for commercial exchange. The topic is presented in an interesting way, that takes the reader on a trip through the centuries.

The second chapter, talks about the first issued paper currencies. It presents their various kinds and materials used in manufacturing them, and the security features implemented.
In the third chapter, the authors discuss the oddities of banknotes, and the purpose and circumstances behind their issuance in different sizes, shapes and categories. In addition, it mentions their defects and lists some banknotes that were never issued.

The fourth chapter talks about money stamps. The authors gave a historical insight about the stamps that are associated with banknotes, and the stamps that were used as a currency worldwide.
The fifth chapter entertains us with fascinating designs and specimens of Lebanese banknotes, that were not issued for circulation, but stayed as colorful paintings and stunning images. All of these banknotes never came to light, and because of their rarity and the difficulty to obtain them, most of them are only seen by few hobbyists.

- Lebanese, born in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in 1980. Originally from Al-Taybeh village in the district of Marjayoun, South Lebanon.
